Old Church in Keskustori
The interior change of the Old Church of Tampere, designed by Neva Architects and protected by the Church Act, serves as one of the nationwide pilot projects to diversify the use of church halls. The change consists of fixed changes in space and lighter functional changes in the church hall. With the change, time can be spent in the church in the form of traditional services, worship as well as concerts, group activities and by having a coffee.
Church space in cooperation with the National Board of Antiquities
Whenever possible, the shades and materials already found in the church hall have been used in the choices of materials and surface treatments.
The integration of the new technology into the old building required special precision in the project. All planning during the project has been done in close cooperation with the Finnish Heritage Agency.
